PITA: The National Savings Bank (BSN) will soon open its 33rd branch here, Pitas Datuk Seri Assemblyman Dr Ruddy Awah said. Ruddy, who is also Deputy Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, said said it was great news for the people of Pitas as the nearest bank is about 55 km away in Kota Marudu. “It goes without saying that the bank will bring a lot of convenience to the people of Pitas, whether it is to receive salaries, bank income from the sale of agricultural and marine products, and any other bank-related matters,” did he declare.
He was speaking at the Malaysian Family Assistance (BKM) handover here on Sunday. “It’s time for Pitas to have a bank because according to a survey, more than RM40 million in banking transactions are involved in a month,” he said.
During the ceremony, 465 people from the B40 group who do not have a bank account received their BKM assistance in cash. * Follow us on Instagram and join our Telegram and/or WhatsApp channels for the latest news you don’t want to miss.
