Machias Savings Bank Donates $100,000 in Community Development Grants


The Machias Savings Bank has awarded a total of $100,000 in community development grants to 18 nonprofits across the state.

Grants have been awarded to the following organizations:

Southern Maine Agency on Aging
The Northern Lighthouse, Inc.

Machias Savings Bank has sought to support organizations prioritizing financial health, community welfare, youth and education, and economic development projects with a focus on community development, with an emphasis on projects that benefit low to moderate income individuals and/or families. Grants have been awarded to projects that create or maintain jobs, revitalize communities in the bank’s service area, and help provide affordable housing or other programs designed to help individuals and/or families with income low to medium.
