Librarian candidates wanted for 2022

CLIFTON PARK – The Clifton Park-Halfmoon Public Library Board of Trustees is seeking nominations for three library administrator positions effective January 1, 2022, due to the expiration of three tenure terms. One director position represents Clifton Park; two trustee positions represent Halfmoon.
The annual election of the library budget and trustees is scheduled for Thursday, September 23 and will take place at the library from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.
In order to qualify for the position of trustee, candidates must be registered voters living in Clifton Park or Halfmoon, within the library tax district. The trustee positions are for five years. Library employees, contractors, and library vendors are not eligible. Residents will vote for trustee candidates from their respective city of residence.
The Trustee Kits will be available June 1. Interested applicants can pick up a package in person or download one from the Library’s website: www.cphlibrary.org.
The library council is made up of 11 administrators; seven representing Clifton Park and four representing Halfmoon. Trustees attend monthly board meetings, sit on designated committees, and contribute their expertise to the library and the community it serves.
The Clifton Park-Halfmoon Public Library, located in southern Saratoga County, provides materials, programs and services to residents of Clifton Park and Halfmoon. The library at 475 Moe Road in Clifton Park is open seven days a week and can be reached by phone at 518-371-8622 and online at www.cphlibrary.org.
