‘Genshin Impact’ in-game rewards survey reveals future development plans
Today I logged into Genshin Impact and was asked to complete a survey for free in an email containing 300 Mora (gold). Since I was promised 20,000 Mora for in fact to finish investigation, I immediately jumped into it because hey, it’s like, almost enough for one talent upgrade.
But what I found there is something that seems to give a strong indication of what aspects of Genshin Impact miHoYo is not happy with, and how they plan to improve the systems. I’m not sure if everyone got the exact same poll, but here’s what mine focused on, and it was not resin.
In addition to your standard ‘how likely are you to recommend Genshin Impact’ type questions, there were a lot of questions that related to the game’s success system. care, and if not, what would improve it.
My obvious answers were about the rewards, because the tiny amount of unique Primogems that each achievement gives you just isn’t worth it other than doing those things passively, because it takes what, eight different 20 Primogems achievements to get 160 Primogems. Wish pull with very bad drop rates? And these are the good ones! Most achievements are 5-10 Primogems at most. So that’s what I said that needed to be improved the most. I also said that there were just too many so I didn’t bother to go through them all.
There was a surprising amount of nameplate questions, which I guess relate to accomplishments as one of the main rewards. They asked again if you care about the system and if not, why not.
Among my responses was that it just wasn’t distinct enough to notice it all often, and you never even see them except when they appear during the pause Paimon menu. One interesting thing that was suggested in the survey was to make your friendship level with certain characters to display on the business card, which is pretty cool if you want to invest in those. But yeah, I’m not quite sure what’s going to interest me about business cards, which seems to be what miHoYo is trying to figure out.
Finally, there were a few cosmetics questions, asking what interested you the most. I don’t care about things like profile photo frames, but you can bet I told them character outfits were a high priority as something I would buy. There was no option for that, but I would also have told them hairstyles, regardless of outfits, if that had been possible. We know they plan to create outfits later, as there’s even a place for it in the game already, but that hasn’t happened yet. Maybe if everyone votes for it, it will happen sooner. I don’t even want to know how much miHoYo will earn if they start letting players dress up with these characters for undoubtedly real world money.
These were the main questions asked in the survey. Log in to see if you can get the 20,000 Mora for yourself, which is instant delivery after you’re done, and let me know if the questions are similar for you.
